Lake Ray Roberts
Lake Ray Roberts is just a few minutes from the Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex yet it is a great place to get away from the busy city life. This 29,350 acre rural lake is located off of I-35 past the City of Denton and between the cities of Sanger and Pilot Point. Although the Corps of Engineers constructed Lake Ray Roberts, most of the recreational facilities and the hunting programs are administered by Texas Parks and Wildlife.
Lake Ray Roberts State Park Complex consists of two Texas state park units (Isle du Bois and Johnson Branch), six satellite parks (Jordan Unit, Pond Creek, Pecan Creek, Buck Creek, Sanger, and Elm Fork), Wildlife Management Areas, wetlands, waterfowl sanctuaries and the 20 mile Lake Ray Roberts / Lake Lewisville Greenbelt Corridor. The area offers bird watching, water sports, riding horses or backpacking along scenic trails; Lake Ray Roberts truly has something for everyone.
Activities include picnicking; camping; hiking; biking; equestrian, roller blading; swimming at the beach area; boating; and fishing. The Johnson Branch of Lake Ray Roberts also offers backpacking. As a Texas first, the Timberlake Trails development offers direct access to this entire Lake Ray Roberts network of hiking and equestrian trails from a gated community.
Pilot Point
The city of Pilot Point is a North Texas gem located in the serene meadows just north of the Dallas Metroplex. Pilot Point is also only minutes from Denton where major universities and top notch hospitals serve the residents of North Texas and beyond.

In 2009 the Pilot Point Bearcats Football team claimed the state championship in Class 2A Division 1.

Sanger
Sanger, Texas is located directly off of Interstate 35 just north of the DFW Metrpolex.
